Love Ella

Love Ella is a story written by Madeleine Witham, mother of Ella. Ella was born in 1995 with a very rare syndrome known as Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, and this book tells a powerful and thought-provoking story of the journey from Ella's birthday, and the eleven years that follow. Any parent or family member, teacher or therapist of a child with special needs will be able to identify with the strong emotions illustrated in this book. www.love-ella.com

    Hi Madeleine and ella,
I listened this morning to yur einterview with alan jones and my heart broke for you i too am a mother with three children two of them or "Special Needs" or so people say one has mild Osteogenisis Imperfecta or Brittle Bones to date he has had over 60 breaks which is good he is twelve years old now the other a little girl who is 10 who has Dyspraxia both verbally and with her fine and gross motor skills as well as so they say mild "ADD" i wake up some mornings and think oh no not again do i have to go through it all over but then i would not have had it any other way as you know there is no love like a mother's people used to ask me how i cope and i would say to them that there are always people worse of than you and your children and i was right i also said that if there is a god he only gives you what you can handle but i often waander about that. Thankyou very much for writing the book and when i save the 20.00 dollars i promise i will buy one, yu have said and done what alot of other mothers would have liked to do but could not thankyou again

    Dear Tina,
Thanks so much for your post. It was great having the chance to talk to Alan this morning and help to raise awareness for families like yours and mine. I think the more we can talk the more we can help people understand. Could you email me your address privately on mwitham@optusnet.com.au please Tina,
